Description

Betta renata is native to the island of Sumatra. It is a blackwater paternal mouthbrooder that incubates from 17 to 21 days. Water conditions not critical but it prefers softer acidic water. Pairs can be housed in a 20 gallon tank, while groups should be housed in a 55 gallon tank or larger. Pairs should be given cover such as caves and plants.
