A killifish from Nigeria and Cameroon found in temporary swamps and swampy, slow-flowing brooks in coastal rainforest. It feeds on mosquito larvae, small crustaceans, and other aquatic organisms. It is a 'semi-annual' killifish meaning it can survive more than a year if water conditions permit but its eggs are drought tolerant and develop through dry periods to hatch in the next wet season.
