Description

Native to the Upper Rio Coahuayana and Balsas Basins in Mexico, Ilyodon whitei is a livebearer inhabiting streams, rivers and springs with a preference for warm, hard water. This is an omnivore with a diet that consists of a balance of plant material and protein. Examples of foods to feed include spirulina algae, blanched vegetables, nori, live baby brine shrimp and freeze-dried daphnia.
