Description

The Polka-Dot Splitfin is native to the Upper Rio Balsas Basin in Mexico. It is a livebearer inhabiting lakes and springs. It prefers cool to warm, hard, slow moving water and is an omnivore feeding primarily on algae, detritus, and some invertebrates.
