Description

A livebearer native to the Upper Rio Coahuayana Basin in Mexico, Allodontichthys tamazulae inhabits streams with a preference for strong flow over rocky substrates. It prefers warm, hard water. This is an omnivore with a diet that consists of both plant material and protein. Examples of foods to feed include spirulina algae, blanched vegetables, nori, live baby brine shrimp and freeze-dried daphnia.
