A relatively small brilliant cichlid endemic to Lake Malawi at Pombo Rocks, Tanzania, Chindongo demasoni lives amongst the rocks where feeds on algae, It is observed as peaceful in the wild where each individual has its own feeding area. However, it is found to be more territorial in the confines of an aquarium.
