Description

An elongate cichlid, Aulonocara sp. 'pyramid' was found at Kande Island and Luwala Reef, as well as the southeast arm of the lake. There is limited information on its breeding and feeding habits but it was observed over sand in waters with a pH of 8.3 and temperatures ranging from 20º C to 30º C (68º F to 86º F) throughout the year.
