Description

A cave-dwelling cichlid, Aulonocara sp. 'lwanda' occurs at Hai Reef in Tanzania and at Chiwindi in Mozambique. In waters with a pH of 8.3 and temperatures ranging from 20º C to 30º C (68º F to 86º F) throughout the year, it feeds on small insect larvae and crustaceans.
